Egypt with Abercrombie & Kent – November 2010

My recent trip to Egypt and the Nile was certainly an incredible experience many years in the makings.  I have planned this trip five times before, but for various reasons I was always forced to cancel it.

During my many years in the business, I have assembled extensive knowledge of Egypt, its geography, the history, and the places of interest that I visited during this tour for travel professionals. 

I had never imagined how grandiose and totally mind boggling the sites, tombs, temples and the pyramids are! Truly the Pharaohs lived for the “afterlife” and did extraordinary things to make sure it was suited for them. 

All involved in providing the services, took great care of us with extreme friendship and graciousness.    I enjoyed the food and the wines (yes Egyptians have been making wine since the Pharaohs times).

The guides were truly the very best. Ours, Zeinab Shawky (Zee), is one of the most knowledgeable people I have encountered. Zee made the difficult easy, the complicated clear, and the mysterious... exciting. We learned and appreciated every minute of it. Zee has been escorting groups for the tour company for over 25 years as well as worked with National Geographic, the Museum of Natural History and because of her love for birds, the Audubon Society. 

This was truly a destination that offered an
experience filled with stimulating and intriguing discoveries.  We hope that things settle in Egypt so others can also have this wonderful experience.
